Lydia's favorite sleeping buddy, Libby the Kitty, is inadvertently on her way to boarding a slow boat to America.
I would rather have had all of my underwear mistakenly packed away than to be asked every day, twice a day for the next 42 days, "But Mommy? Where is Libby?"

You are so funny! Thanks for the laugh so early this morning!
I suggest purchasing a suitable stand-in kitty - it would calm her questions and save your sanity!
Last time we did that (we forgot Libby when we went to Spain) we bought a $25 stand-in (only one we could find) and then we promptly "lost" the stand-in/it was stolen along with our backpack o' goodies 2 days later!
Maybe get a map of the world and put "Where in the World is Libby?" on it and mark the ship with a pin and then Lydia can see her progress across the ocean - then maybe she won't ask, if she can see? And ok, so you won't know exactly where the boat is, but Lydia doesn't know that! Through her eyes, this is the answer to her burning question of "Where is Libby?"!
